If it is five or six digits with nothing else, it is a marshal docket number. If it has a slash and a two-digit year, like 312756/24, it is the Housing Court index number from your court papers. This page takes either. The two are not interchangeable: a docket number can repeat across years and marshals, while the index number belongs to one case.
It is the execution, not the case. Every row is a warrant a marshal or sheriff carried out, with the address, the date and the case numbers. It does not carry the reason, the outcome of any appeal, or anyone's name. For the case file itself, including filings that never reached an execution, the source is the court, not this dataset. Most Housing Court cases end without an execution, so a number that returns nothing here is usually a case that ended another way.

The case number a city marshal assigns to a warrant of eviction. It is five or six digits and it is what the city's eviction dataset is keyed on. It is not the same as the Housing Court index number, and marshals reuse docket numbers across years, so one number can match more than one record.

Only completed ones. All 43,290 records are warrants a marshal or sheriff actually executed, 40,073 of them residential. Filings are a much larger number and are not in this dataset.
